LEH LADAKH IS LOCATED AT AN ALTITUDE OF ABOUT 11,000 FT (3,500M) AND ALSO AT HIGH PASSES. YOUR FIRST 36-48 HOURS ARE IMPORTANT FOR ACCLIMATIZATION TO LOW OXYGEN LEVELS. DO NOT RUSH, AVOID OVER-EXERTION, AND AVOID ALCOHOL ON THE FIRST DAY.

| Day 4 | Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso | Drive along the scenic Shyok River road. The route is beautiful, passing through rugged mountains and quaint villages. | Day 5 | Pangong Tso to Leh | Wake up early to witness the spectacular sunrise over Pangong Lake. Drive back to Leh via the Chang La Pass (one of the world’s highest passes). On the way back, visit the famous Hemis Monastery or Thiksey Monastery on the way back. | Leh (11,000 ft) |
